Intelligent Sailing has enriched our lives with some of our favorite memories of adventures at sea. 
We love the luxury and beauty of the sailboats, the idyllic location and friendly atmosphere of the marina, and the caring customer service.
We have celebrated birthdays on weekend trips with friends, wedding anniversary getaways to resorts, and week long vacations as far south as Marco Island.
We have grown and learned, with Andy taking several sailing courses through Intelligent Sailing. And we always look forward to being out on the water, whether it’s calm and peaceful or windy and thrilling.
We truly have found a home away from home with Intelligent Sailing. The deck is spacious and the interior is comfortable for cooking, showering, sleeping and entertaining.
Joining Intelligent Sailing was one of the best decisions of our lives, and it’s worth every dollar for the fun and joy it continues to bring us as a couple.
In mid-2019, Donna and I realized retirement for us is right around the corner for us and we decided that sailing was something we both dreamed of but never undertook as we raised our family. I had sailed earlier in life up on the Chesapeake Bay and had already taken both the ASA 101 and 103 classes. I knew that if we were to do this together and do it safely, we both needed more technical knowledge and sailing skills. We also knew we didn’t want to make a huge monetary investment only to find out later that the sailing life wasn’t for us. 
While looking at boats and considering our options, we found Intelligent Sailing. The membership program made perfect sense for us – through i.S we could get Donna’s ASA certifications and I could get refresher training. The big plus for us was we could do this and have access to new state of the art boats, without a huge investment. Being Intelligent Sailing members also allows us access to ASA training courses on “our own” boat and the opportunity to meet like-minded people on the dock and at club functions.
Our first impressions of Intelligent Sailing were overwhelmingly positive. The owner greeted us at the dock, introduced us to our new 36-foot sailboat and made us feel welcome and part of the membership. Our ASA instructor, Steve, met us at the boat the next morning and we again felt welcomed, comfortable and valued. Through Steve’s excellent instruction, encouragement, patience, and after three beautiful September days on the water, Donna received her ASA 101/103 certifications and we both gained confidence and felt perfectly able to handle the boat. We are looking forward to many great sailing days and memories made with Intelligent Sailing and in the Tampa Bay area. Membership is perfect for our current situation.
